Did you know that pangolins have scales that are made out of the same material as your fingernail? Many people call them scaly anteaters because of their scales. An adult pangolin can measure 5 feet long and would thus need a lot of scales to cover its body. Pangolins live in the grasslands and forests of Africa, Asia, and, of course, zoos. You would not want to be near this animal if you were traveling in Africa or Asia. Pangolins spray their enemies with a strong, smelly liquid–AKA…urine.
