Here at Off the Beaten Path we go around the world and find the wackiest and weirdest museums there are, so sit back and enjoy the ride. Today I have chosen a very wacky museum, just like me! It is….wait for it….the Moist Towelette Museum!
The Moist Towelette Museum was started by MSU Planetarium director John French. His office is filled with things like ukuleles, pez dispensers, and astronomy memorabilia, but in a little corner on a metal bookshelf is his favorite collection, the moist towelettes. The collection started out as a joke twenty years ago and grew over the years to be what he proclaimed the moist towelette museum, and guess what? He even gets a few visitors every year. But unfortunately for him it never actually became a real museum.
