Creation of the Fellowship

By October 15, 2014

Rivendell glistened like the sun on water. It was a palace and home of the amazing archer elves. A secret meeting was held here to see who would attempt the task of taking the ring of power to the fiery volcano of Mordor. There were five unusual species there: Four hobbits, one wizard, one elf, two men and one dwarf. In an attempt to smash the ring, Gimli, a short, fat, long-haired dwarf who only uses axes, thought he could destroy it. He tried to smash it but broke his ax instead.

Gandalf, the wise wizard, explained that it was made in Mordor so it can be destroyed only there.  An argument arose about who should take the ring. Nobody wanted the task. Suddenly, a brave young hobbit named Frodo Baggins cried out, “I’ll take the ring to Mordor.” The others all agreed and guided him on the way. This was the creation of the Fellowship of the Ring.
