Ginko Tree

By October 28, 2016

Today I am blogging about a Ginko tree. Even though there are so many categories of nature, I chose plant life. Ginko trees are one of the only plants that did not go extinct with the dinosaurs, and it has not changed a bit for millions of years! The one I am currently studying is only about a foot and a half tall. An average Ginko tree grows to be 30-40 ft. tall, with irregular fan-shaped leaves. I think it’s a cool tree! Native to Japan, it was brought to the United States in 1784 by William Hamilton for his garden in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I like Ginkos because they are tough, strong trees.
