Any boy with any taste of adventure should read these exciting journals and sketches. These journals and sketchbooks were found in an old chest in the cellar of a, well… I guess I shouldn’t tell you the whole beginning. But to hear a portion of it, read on as follows:
“Today the 7th of May 1684, I, Robinson Crusoe, once master and soul inhabitant of a lost island, here bring to an end my sketchbooks and journal, which for almost a quarter of century, I have told and pictured my strange adventures. May the story of my fortune set dreaming those who have the soul of a wanderer, Robinson Crusoe.”
So begins this fantastic journal and sketchbook. The journal goes on to detail the amazing illustrations and adventures of Robinson Crusoe, including pictures of traps, treehouses, and maps. He describes an adventurous fight with cannibals, and a man he saves and names Friday all in his own words! Well maybe…is this really a copy of his actual journal? You be the judge. Whether it is or it isn’t, one thing is certain, I’d recommend this book with a 21 gun salute and a Huzzah alongside it!
