Sauron was a very evil spirit who was created by the thought of the omnipotent creator Iluvatar. He forged the ring of power to hold his power. He was also Morgoth’s most trusted servant and became the king of evil in Middle Earth. Sauron invented the dark language and many creatures that serve him. His symbol is an eye that is used on the orc’s shields. One day while he was in battle he stepped on a Isildur’s sword and broke it, but the man picked up the broken sword and cut Sauron’s finger off which turned him into a spirit, and from then on he had no body or flesh. In the third age of Middle Earth he returned from his haunt in Mirkwood to try to become the Lord of the Rings.
