In Lord of the Rings, Sauron is the embodiment of evil created by the thought of Iluvitor, the omnipotent creator. He was Morgoth’s most trusted servant and became the king of evil in middle earth after Morgoth was defeated by Iluvitor. It was Sauron who forged the Ring of Power which gave him power. When the finger that held his ring was cut off he died and the ring was lost in a river. Sauron invented the dark language and grew and planted many gruesome creatures that serve him. Sauron’s symbol is an eye that is used on the orcs shields.
