Middle Earth is an imaginary place created by J.R.R. Tolkien. He imagined it as a place on this earth and during a certain stage of time. It is not in the Stone Age or the Iron Age; it is Middle Earth age and located on a continent in a certain part of the world. Hobbiton, home of the Hobbits, is set at the same latitude as Oxford, England and the Shire is located in England. Most people have made the mistake of thinking that Middle earth is on another planet of the science fiction sort, but it’s just an old fashioned word for this world we live in.
Wizards, elves, orcs, goblins, hobbits, dwarves, and men, to name a few, inhabit middle Earth. A young hobbit named Frodo Baggins and his companion Sam Gamgee go on an adventurous journey across Middle Earth to destroy the evil ring of power.
