Memory, Reenactments, Eloquence

By March 14, 2014Engaging Lessons

One way to engage boys in the area of language acquisition and expression is through dramatic reenactments. Battle speeches often work well. The importance of memory is vital for the renewal of culture and for re-engaging boys in education. Put a curtain over the black box in the family room and make a small stage; acquire or make cool costumes and props; find great speeches, dialogues, comedy routines and stories, and let them take to the stage!

Enjoy this endearing video of a 3 year old reenacting the famous St. Crispin’s Day speech from Henry V.
