Race for Riverside!

By January 14, 2018
Dear Riverside Families,
“Bilbo used often to say there was only one Road; that it was like a great river: its springs were at every doorstep, and every path was its tributary.”
-J.R.R. Tolkien
It is a true gift in this life to find fellowship of common vision along the one Road. Riverside Center for Imaginative Learning has become a fellow traveler alongside a great many families over the last four years–inspiring young boys and girls to see beyond the physical paths of daily life, to the greater story.
The Race for Riverside, in conjunction with Giving Dupage’s Human Race, is our one adventurous fundraiser. So, we invite our greater community-friends, family, acquaintances, former roommates in college, and all sorts of other random rustic travelers on the one Road, to join us for the great race and support our Center for Imaginative Learning.
Last year our community raced to the finish line, and beyond, by raising over $30,000! We are truly grateful to Giving Dupage for providing non-profits with an opportunity to raise funds through their Human Race.  This event has truly revealed the community we have at Riverside – from the intense training rituals of our families, to the imaginative promotion films; from the extravagant use of plaid on the day of the race to the friendships forged as we all came together to support Riverside!
Therefore, it is with a thrill of excitement that we announce this year’s Race for Riverside on April 28, 2018!
