Atoms of the Universe
Do you ever wonder what everything is made up of? Well, I can tell you! Atoms are the building blocks of the universe. They make up things such as roads, plants, cars, street signs, your lungs, your heart, your skin, your blood, and so on. Atoms are so small that you need a special microscope to see them. Atoms are made up of smaller particles like the nucleus, which is made up of protons and neutrons. The protons have a positive electric charge, and the neutrons have a neutral electrical charge. Electrons have a negative electric charge and orbit around the nucleus. I want you to know this because I thought you would like to learn that everything is made up of atoms– even you!
