Bombing in Britain

By October 27, 2014

In Britain, World War II was a great crisis for the native people.  However, the axis for Britain was Germany, and Adolf Hitler was the leader of that brutal army.  In that innocent country was a leader named Winston Churchill.  Major aerial battles were fought in 16 British cities.  There were over 100 tons of raining explosive shells dropped by German air-forces on Churchill’s country.  This time was disastrous for each country and lasting for eight months until May 1941.

This major battle was the Battle of the Blitz which Britain won by the power of its air-force.  During the Battle of the Blitz, over 40,000 civilians were killed and 46,000 injured.  Although Germany lost over 3,300 aircrew and 2,200 aircraft, this battle was the most devastating because of the enormous damage caused to Britain’s civilization by German’s heavy bomb raids.
