Did you know that if an alligator gets a hold of you, you can use your thumb to poke it in its eye, and it will release its grip? This tactic is tested, tried, and found to be true, according to a gruesome tale as reported by the Tampa Bay Times. A fierce hunter, the alligator, spots its prey through a third clear eyelid used as goggles in murky waters. Next time you are in Florida, keep a lookout for two glassy eyes and the tip of a U shaped snout. This is the most you will see before he takes a bite. An alligator’s eyes reveal both its strength and weakness.
