Tjikko the Immortal Tree by Simon G

By October 29, 2019

Old Tjikko is the oldest tree in the world. Scientists believe that it is 9,561 years old. Old Tjikko, a Norway Spruce, is in Sweden. The trunk only lasts for 600 years, but its roots keep living. When the trunk dies, Tjikko grows a new one. This tree was living when Abraham was alive. Tjikko survived an Ice age, and will likely live until the end of time. It is cool.
